In this lesson, students will learn about traditional insulation used in Athabaskan homes and compare them to modern insulation techniques. Students will also observe the role of thermal conductivity in heat transfer and design and conduct an experiment to compare the thermal conductivity of four substances. (Note: This lesson may require two class periods.)
